Right at the ass end of WCW, they ran a pay-per-view in Germany, wasn’t aired live in the U.S. and never even made video here as far as I remember, because they didn’t have much time between this running and the company, you know, dying.
This was the main event match of the night, for the “European Cup Title,” with Sting allegedly the “European Cup Champion,” and boxer Axel Schulz as the referee in a ballcap.1
This has no commentary, as the original broadcast had German commentary for obvious reasons, but it’s got TV camera work and stuff. There’s a reported 9,000 or so in the building and the fans are at least paying attention, which must have been a nice change of pace from what WCW had done to its American crowds.
