Goldberg gives it one last go, Jimmy Uso gets his first singles title shot, Randy Orton continues to be best friends with "Jelly Roll," and more from Saturday Night's Main Event!
That forearm that Jade threw was probably the highlight of the first 1:45 of the show. Looking forward to that match tonight.
Gotta give it up to Goldberg. It felt like they got a little extra time out there based off how the match started and Goldberg held up his deal. Gunther is super great. It's going to be an odd year when we look back on his cagematch in 5 years, but he's delivered. This match would have probably been a lot better on an episode of Raw.
This show felt taped. Like they had 40 minutes of matches and the 5 minute Naomi-Jade segment and the challenge was filling up the other 50 minutes. Can't really get into any of the matches because they stick a commercial in the middle and they come off the commercial practically into the finish. It was funny Goldberg got cut off giving his speech because they were so bad at timing out the show. Maybe do something in the first 5 minutes of the show for a fucking change?
Was 3 being blank a botch or a commentary on how much this show largely sucked? lol
Big ups to Seth Rollins for getting up & eating that pin. That really, really sucks. Dude has done a lot of work to become a credible meat-and-potatoes wrestler, time to leave those flips in the rear view mirror.
and yeah, Seth is plenty credible enough without the high-risk stuff anymore. maybe a few things that aren't so knee-intensive but otherwise he can lean on other stuff from now on. he throws pretty decent punches! punch! everyone punch more!
"He’s out first because this company does not respect tradition. In my day, it did not respect Goldberg. Things change."
Funny
Came for Goldberg and boy did I get some Goldberg. Popped hard for the whole entourage. Gunther remains a magician.
The show mostly sucked like most SMNEs, but this shit means something to me man. Couldn’t have done it any better for the Bill.

lol fixed it, just got a moment ahead of myself.

Switching to punch-kick offense sure worked for the most popular wrestler of the 90s/possibly ever!
