Crown Jewel is live from Riyadh!
It’s a big November at TMAR! There will be 10 Classic Reviews this month, a major bump over the usual one per month! We already did Survivor Series ‘87, and the second of the batch hits on Monday!
Those reviews plus Crown Jewel here, plus AEW Full Gear in a few weeks, plus all the standard weekly TV reviews — listen, if you haven’t done a premium sub yet, this is a great month to take the plunge!
Let’s get to it!
Arriving: Dumb belts! Cody! Gunther! Nia and Tiffany! Liv and Dominik and Raquel! Randy! Kevin! Now to action!
Roman Reigns, Jimmy Uso & Jey Uso vs Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu & Tama Tonga
Roman can’t go last on this show because everyone has to pretend with those Saudi belts. Tanga Loa is here and ringside, which Corey Graves insists is a huge advantage for Solo Sikoa’s Bloodline, a nice way of trying to be kind to ol’ Tanga for being the guy you obviously leave out of a trios.
I don’t put “Roman Reigns & The Usos” because that’s not what we’ve got. The Usos are not reformed; Jimmy walks out with Roman, then Jey has his own entrance. Cole points out that, even if they had a great moment on Smackdown all together, this basically cannot mean they’re as truly unified as the Solo side.1
We’re 20 minutes into the show’s run time before the bell rings, which comes after Roman acquiesces to Jey’s desire to start the match against Tama Tonga. Usos double up early on Fatu to show some Classic Usos.
