As I said in the first “volume” of this “series” back in December (longer than I expected to do a second one): Sometimes I just watch Some Wrestling for no particular reason, and I have an idiot’s need to document and talk about things all the time.

And when I call this “Scrap Heap,” I don’t mean to imply it’s all just a bunch of junk. On the contrary! What history we will be discussing! And since we’re a few days away from Goldberg’s “final match,” we’ll go back to 1998 for the hook of this post, when he and Steven “Bill” Regal went out and mucked it all up on Nitro!

Here’s what’s in this batch:

  • An episode of Portland TV from May 1985, taped at the Portland Memorial Coliseum! Ric Flair vs Billy Jack Haynes! The Hennigs against the Road Warriors! Piper! Slaughter! Kendo Nagasaki!

  • Bits and Pieces: Gene Kiniski & Kevin Von Erich team to take on Bulldog Brown & Dick Murdoch in St. Louis from 1979! Bam Bam Bigelow and Terry Gordy meet in 1988! Inoki & Fujinami vs Andre & Rene Goulet from 1981!

  • Championship Wrestling from Florida from July 7, 1984! It’s got Denny Brown! But mostly I want to see Mike Rotundo/a and Barry Windham vs Hector and Chavo Guerrero!

  • More Bits, More Pieces: Tatsumi Fujinami vs Vader in 1988! The Sheik vs Ricky Steamboat from 1980! Goldberg’s infamous match with Steven Regal in 1998!
