  • Live from Riyadh! The sports-entertainment capital of the world for the hours that a show is taking place there! Otherwise not so much!!

  • We’ve got Mike Cole and Bad News Wade on the call! Hell yeah! I mean it still involves Cole but the continued absence of Pat McAfee is such a relief.

Cody Rhodes vs Randy Orton

King of the Ring Final

Kicking it off with the big stars! The middle aged men! First one-on-one in 12 years, Mike Cole says. Crowd is fired up. These two are good buddies now, but they’re also pros and a title shot at The SummerSlam — against a guy they both hate, as stands now — is on the line.

God, Randall KO is big. You know, as an aside, I think it’s time to send Randy Orton to Estadio de Béisbol Monterrey to wrestle El Mesias. Orton’s eldery, overly-bulked back becomes an issue early on, and a target for Cody R. This allows the world to run at Randy Speed, which is an officially approved speed in WWE, given to Randy Orton for his years of service. It’s also a fine speed that stands out from the rest of the show, and not in the way current Cena Speed does, because Orton is still pretty good. Orton is a drastically better Old Guy Wrestler than Cena.

Rhodes leans into the Saudi crowd seemingly favoring Orton a little bit, working slightly heel-ish with Orton selling the back and being a grandpa. CrossRhodes doesn’t finish, and neither does the RKO that comes outta nowhere. Apparently Randy has lost some zip on that heater.
